Non Bank Financial Institutions (FIs)

Non Bank Financial Institutions (FIs) are those kinds of financial institutions which are regulated under Financial Institution Act, 1993 and controlled by Bangladesh Bank. Now, 31 FIs are working in Bangladesh while the maiden one was established in 1981. Out of the total, 2 is fully government owned, 1 is the subsidiary of a SOCB, 13 were initiated by private domestic initiative and 15 were initiated by joint venture initiative. Major sources of funds of FIs are Term Deposit (at least six months tenure), Credit Facility from Banks and other FIs, Call Money as well as Bond and Securitization.
The major difference between banks and FIs are as follows:
a)      FIs cannot issue cheques, pay-orders or demand drafts.
b)      FIs cannot receive demand deposits,
c)      FIs cannot be involved in foreign exchange financing,
d)      FIs can conduct their business operations with diversified financing modes like syndicated financing, bridge financing, lease financing, securitization instruments, private placement of equity etc.

Good morning sir/madam. 
I am very glad to introduce myself in front of you.My name is X. I'm from Khulna District. I've passed SSC & HSC from C College in 2000 & 2002 respectively and my results are GPA 4.88 & 5.00 respectively,
I've completed honours & masters from Dhaka University in Bangla and my are CGPA 3.41 & 3.50 respectivly.  Regarding my family we are 3.  My father “B” is working as a Banker and my mother “C” is a home maker. I have a sister who is studying at KUET,
My hobbies are solving puzzles, surfing the internet, hanging out with my friends and watching cricket matches in my leisure time.
I would like to spend most of my time with my family.
Being self-motivator is my strength and along with it my self confidence & positive attitude helped me a lot to deliver the maximum that I can do.
Since my childhood I have participated in many competitions and being successful in many enhanced my confidence levels. I took part in organizing few of my college events through which I have imbibed various qualities like team work, decision making and gained necessary soft skills needed to handle tricky situations.
My goal is to be a part of Bangladesh Bank. I'll work for Bangladesh and to shape a bright future for the country and to make a lasting impact with my ideas in the sphere I work in.
